Back to the Basics

Something about this time of year makes me want to simplify my life.
Enjoying the crisp early mornings, the changing of the leaves, apple cinnamon bread baking in the oven and the hint of firewood burning in the air....
Fast forward to my real life which involves business commitments, lunch marketing meetings, dance class, softball tournaments, spelling tests and the stray 6th grade Egypt project that involves creating a SARCOPHAGUS???
I will just dream of the images above and keep trying to get there....

Commit to Color
I'm not quite sure why I gravitate towards neutrals, I suppose they all work together without too much thought....bringing in a new piece of furniture or accessory is easy without having to worry too much about "matching" and neutrals are soothing and comforting to me. Having said that, I'm constantly intrigued by color and I'm going to challenge myself to pull in a little splash here and there. While I do not think I could commit to an entire wall in this fantastic green, the antique door might be just right!
