Far Away Thoughts

 

Have you ever had those days where you were totally, utterly distracted and each and everything you tried to do took twice as long??

 

 I am in dire need of a vacation....I'm not ready for the beach yet, but some quaint New England town with charming restaurants and shops.  A romantic hotel with a warm fire and delicious food and wine....a few mornings of sleeping in and I feel like I might be ready to tackle the world again!

 

How are you, do you need a break too??  Where would you go??  I'd love to hear from you!

Good Monday Morning...We had a fantastic weekend, the weather was unusually warm, the sky was the most brillant shade of blue and the trees...they are simply stunning!

Getaway

 

 

Its fall break for my children this week, and I'm so disappointed that I didn't plan anything this year.  It just seems that the days, weeks and months fly by so quickly! 

 

I have decided that I will plan a surprise trip for Christmas this year.  I want to go somewhere wintery and new...not the typical tropical getaway that we normally pick. 

 

I love this photo above...I can imagine wandering the streets of Lucerne, Switzerland with coffee in hand, so romantic!  Those swans are truly magical!

Sunday Dreaming

Wow, what a busy weekend....I've just now sent my oldest daughter off to summer camp.  It's the first time she has been away from home and I have to admit there was a few tears...mostly mine!

The last few days were filled with packing, checking off of lists and amazement that one child could need so much stuff!

Needless to say, I would love to spend the day here in this faraway city, daydreaming, walking the cobblestone streets....A girl can dream right?

Looking Up

Its Friday, so things are looking up around here.  Hope you have a fantastic weekend....

This is Heaven's Gate Mountain in Zhangjiajie City, China.   It’s about a 7 mile hike/climb to get to Heaven’s Gate. But if you make the journey, then you end up to what the Chinese say is the closest earth landmark to God.

Makes me realize how beautiful our world is...
