Getaway

 

 

Its fall break for my children this week, and I'm so disappointed that I didn't plan anything this year.  It just seems that the days, weeks and months fly by so quickly! 

 

I have decided that I will plan a surprise trip for Christmas this year.  I want to go somewhere wintery and new...not the typical tropical getaway that we normally pick. 

 

I love this photo above...I can imagine wandering the streets of Lucerne, Switzerland with coffee in hand, so romantic!  Those swans are truly magical!

Lakeside Living

After three weeks of sun and fun at the beach, I have to admit I'm craving a rainy, overcast day at the lake.  These make me think of fall, my favorite time of year!

Continuing my summer siesta here in paradise.  There are lots of sunsets on the boat, sandy toes and sunkissed shoulders.....  I'm desperately trying to savor every minute!

Beach Bound

Some Time for Myself...

As the last few days of school wind down for my children, it makes me want to escape and have just a few days to recharge before the summer.
I'd love to have a small cottage far away from our hectic life, somewhere where we can just "be"...

I Can Smell the Saltwater....

Good Monday morning everyone....I just finalized our plans for spring break and summer vacation and my mind is somewhere far, far away from here. I got lost for hours browsing all the summer rentals... It was a difficult choice, but I settled on a charming little "surfer's cottage" mere steps from the beach. I always take off work and spend the entire month of July at the beach with my daughters and my husband comes down on the weekends or whenever he can get away. I love the grainy sand on their tan little shoulders and the many early morning walks on the beach while they are still sleeping...

This chandelier is just to die for, and so fitting for the way I'm feeling...live well!
